ERIE, Pa. – Redshirt senior Dylan Nace and redshirt junior Mike Raccioppi each recorded individual victories for the East Stroudsburg University wrestling team on Saturday but it wouldn't be enough as nationally ranked No. 20 Gannon defeated the Warriors 43-9.
 
ESU (1-1, 0-1 PSAC) opened the conference portion of its schedule against Golden Knights after recording a dual victory at home against Scranton. Gannon (1-0, 1-0 PSAC) hosted its first dual of the season after opening at the Mount Union Invitational and Findlay Open.
 
The Golden Knights would tally a pair of victories to open the match as Jacob Dunlap recorded a 16-9 major decision against freshman Jared Altan at 125 pounds. Austin Hertel followed with a fall (4:34) at 133 pounds against freshman Gerhardt Reiter.
 
Nace, who entered his bout as the No. 12 nationally ranked wrestler at 141 pounds, recorded an 8-3 decision against Gannon's Nick Young. Nace improved to 6-3 overall on the season while recording his first dual victory.
 
Raccioppi notched a fall (0:44) against Gannon's Anthony Williamson as the No. 10 nationally ranked wrestler at 174 pounds improved his overall record to 12-0 for the Warriors.
 
Sophomore Nick Klinoff almost secured a victory at 197 pounds facing-off against Gannon's Freddie Nixon. Nixon notched a 2-1 decision against Klinoff in the second-to-last bout of the match. Sophomore Marquan Payne faced George McGuire, who entered the dual as the No. 5 nationally ranked wrestler at 157 pounds. McGuire would record a fall (3:16) to give his team six points.
 
The Warriors return to the mat on Dec. 2 at the Bob Quade Cyclone Open hosted by Centenary University in Hackettstown, N.J.
