BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Senior
Aspen Gaita hit an NCAA Division II provisional mark in the pentathlon while the East Stroudsburg University women's track and field team registered 17 PSAC qualifying marks on Saturday at the Lehigh Fast Times event hosted by Lehigh University.
Gaita placed second overall in the pentathlon with 3567 points and recorded three PSAC qualifying marks in the process. She finished first in the 60m hurdles with a mark of 9.06 and tied for first with a height of 5-3 1/4 in the high jump. Gaita also qualified in the long jump with a mark of 18-3 1/4.

Victoria Matthews placed ninth in the pentathlon with 2731 points while finishing fifth in the 800m with a time of 2:29.26. Freshman
Juliana Schraer posted a mark of 9-6 1/4 in the pole vault which tied her for eighth all-time in the ESU indoor track and field record book.

Me'Saj Closs, senior
Marissa Flim, and junior
Barbara Grossov each hit two PSAC qualifying marks on the day for the Warriors. ESU had two events in which three athletes notched qualifying marks and one event (weight throw) where four Warriors qualified.
In the shot put, Closs would place second with a distance of 39-7 1/4, while Grossov placed fourth with a mark of 37-1 1/4. Closs and Grossov also hit qualifying marks in the weight throw for ESU. Closs finished third (50-6) and Grossov (44-4), while junior
Sam Giangrasso (50-3 1/4) and junior
Alexis Schuldes (45-8 1/4) placed fourth respectively for the Warriors.
Three Warriors hit PSAC qualifying marks in the triple jump with junior
Tatiana Williams leading the way with a fifth-place finish (36-5 3/4). Freshman
Gianna Gomez placed 11th (34-6 3/4) with freshman
Thressia Nixon finishing 13th (34-5 1/2).
Senior
Carly Gregas recorded a top-10 finish for ESU in the high jump while hitting a PSAC qualifying mark in the process. Gregas matched the height of 5-1.
Flim paced three ESU runners in the 60m dash, crossing the line in 7.75 for a second-place finish. Junior

Morgan Dey placed third and fourth with marks of 7.85 and 7.94 as all-three notched PSAC qualifying marks. Flim also qualified with a fourth-place finish and time of 26.74 in the 200m.

Sabrina Phillippe, and junior
Allyson Stitzer notched a second-place finish in the 4x400m with a time of 4:08.05. Klag also placed fifth in the 500m (1:20.29), while Dean finished fifth in the 200m (26.87).
The Warriors are back in action on Jan. 10 as ESU travels to Kutztown, Pa. for the Golden Bear Invitational hosted by Kutztown University.
