NEW YORK – Freshman Samantha Christman became the 11th East Stroudsburg University swimmer to qualify for this year's PSAC Championships on Saturday, as she booked her spot in the 1,650-yard freestyle while competing at the NYU Invitational.

Christman entered the weekend with a season-best of 19:39.29 in the event, just off the PSAC standard of 19:38.68. She touched in at 19:27.60 on Saturday, taking over 11 seconds off her previous PR and moving into the No. 10 spot in ESU's program record book.

Christman will now join 10 teammates at this year's conference meet, which is scheduled to be held in York, Pa., from Feb. 21-24. A full championship preview will be posted to ESUWarriors.com prior to the competition.
