SALEM, Va. – Senior
Mary Wallick had three hits, including an RBI double during a decisive three-run fifth inning, as East Stroudsburg University rallied for a 6-4 victory over Winston-Salem on Friday.
The Warriors (5-7) split their first two games at their weekend tournament in Salem, Va., after dropping their opener agaisnt Shepherd by a 9-1 final in five innings.
Sophomore

Rachel Grabowski added two hits for the offense against Winston-Salem (0-11), while freshman RHP
Taylor Keeney (2-1) allowed only one earned run in a complete game victory in the circle.
Winston-Salem held a 4-0 lead after the first inning and a half of play. The Warriors began to chip away at that deficit with solo runs in the second and third innings. Freshman
Sofia Cecchin plated a run in the second, and junior
Madison Vicendese plated Wallick on an RBI groundout in the third.
Hazewski led off the fifth with a double, and Wallick made the score 4-3 with an RBI double two batters later. Visco followed with a run-scoring triple to level up the contest, and Vicendese put ESU in front after reaching on an error.
Freshman
MacKenzie Lewis added an insurance run on an RBI double in the sixth.
Winston-Salem put two runners on with two outs in the seventh, but Keeney induced a fielder's choice putout to secure the Warriors' fifth victory of the season. She allowed six hits and three walks while striking out four during her seven innings of work.
In the opener, ESU had a 1-0 lead after three innings against a Shepherd team which won 41 games and advanced to the NCAA DII Atlantic Region final a year ago. Hazewski reached on an error to begin the game. She then advanced to second on her 10th stolen base of the season, and Wallick drove her in two batters later with an RBI single.
Junior RHP
Angelica Dark retired nine of the first 10 batters she faced. The Rams though, jumped ahead in the bottom half of the fourth. Morgan Cox reached on an error to lead off the inning, and Leann Brown followed with a two-run homer to put Shepherd in front.
Dark stranded runners on the corners in that frame to keep ESU within striking distance, but eight of Shepherd's nine batters reached base in the fifth inning. The Rams scored seven runs, capped by an RBI single from Connor Gilligan off sophomore RHP
Erica Molinaro, to close out the contest.
Wallick finished 2 for 2 at the plate for the Warriors, while Vicendese doubled and walked in her two plate appearances.
Kaitlin Munda struck out eight over five innings of work in the circle for Shepherd.
