SALEM, Va. – Lindsey Stigler had three hits, including a three-run homer in the fifth inning, as Chowan handed East Stroudsburg University a 6-2 setback on Sunday morning.

Junior Madison Vicendese and freshman Sofia Cecchin registered RBIs for the Warriors (6-9).

ESU took an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the second, as Cecchin plated freshman Kaitlyn Caleen on a single after Caleen had walked and swiped second base. The stolen base was Caleen's second of the season; she is hitting .378 with a .425 on-base percentage in her first 13 collegiate appearances.

Freshman MacKenzie Lewis went 2 for 3 with a run scored at the plate to lift her season average to .303. Senior Mary Wallick added a hit and a stolen base on the afternoon; she has hit .571 (8-14) with three doubles, three RBIs and three steals through ESU's first five games in Salem.
