WEST CHESTER, Pa. – Sara Ercolani went 5 for 5 with four RBIs across both games, leading West Chester's offense in a doubleheader sweep over East Stroudsburg University on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors (7-15, 1-3 PSAC) fell 5-2 in the opener and 13-0 in five innings in Game 2 to the Golden Rams (17-8, 2-0 PSAC).

Senior Heather Visco had ESU's lone RBI on a sacrifice fly in the fourth inning of Game 1, and she had one of the Warriors' two hits in the second contest.

All five of West Chester's runs in Game 1 came in the bottom half of the second inning. Ercolani hit a solo home run, and Annamarie Hartman broke open the game with a three-run homer later in the inning.

Freshman RHP Mickayla Grow came on after Hartman's long ball, and she delivered 4 1/3 scoreless innings in relief for the Warriors. Grow allowed four hits and two walks while keeping the home side off the scoreboard. Senior Mary Wallick went 2 for 3 with a run scored to lead ESU at the plate.

West Chester plated five runs in both the first and third innings in Game 2. Four different players had multiple hits, while seven different Golden Rams had at least one RBI. West Chester won its first ever PSAC championship last spring, and the Golden Rams ultimately ended the year 48-13 after falling to West Virginia Wesleyan in the NCAA Division II Super Atlantic Regional.

The Warriors are scheduled to return to action on Tuesday afternoon, traveling to Bowie State for a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m.
