WEST CHESTER – Senior Samantha Miller placed tied for 14th in a field of 64 to lead East Stroudsburg University at the Edwin Cottrell Invitational, hosted by West Chester, on Monday and Tuesday at Penn Oaks Golf Club.

ESU placed ninth of 12 schools with PSAC schools claiming five of the top seven spots.

Kutztown won the team title by three strokes over West Chester (652-655), followed by Franklin Pierce (662), Merrimack (668), Mercyhurst (674), Millersville (687), Gannon (690), Le Moyne (717), ESU (734), LIU Post (756), Saint Rose (776) and Seton Hill (808).

Camden Morrison (Franklin Pierce) won the individual title in a playoff over Krystal Knight (Merrimack) after both posted 36-hole scores of 152. Shannon Weber (Kutztown) was third at 159, Juliarose Genuardi (West Chester) was fourth at 160 and Lace Bensing (West Chester) and Jillian Jones (Kutztown) were tied for fifth at 161.

Miller shot 168 (85-83) to lead ESU, moving up nine spots after ranking t-23rd on Monday.

Senior Mackenzie Mathna and freshman Micaela Crines were tied for 42nd at 186, and junior Caterina Daniels and sophomore Amy Bergquist were tied for 53rd at 198.

ESU's next action is its home ESU Invitational on Sunday and Monday (April 15-16), a 36-hole event held at Glen Brook Golf Club.
