MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Sophomore 
Aubrianna Stetina earned a 7-5, 7-6 (7-2) victory at No. 3 singles, providing the decisive point for East Stroudsburg University in a vital 5-4 win at Millersville on Tuesday.
The Warriors (5-8, 2-2) vault over the Marauders (2-15, 1-2) for the third and final playoff spot in the PSAC East standings. ESU can clinch a return trip to the postseason with a victory at Kutztown on Saturday.
The visitors took a 2-1 lead into singles after 8-5 doubles victories by seniors 
Devin Presby and 
Elizabeth Bartoli at No. 2 and freshmen 
Quinn McCluskey and 
Amanda Jackson at No. 3. McCluskey and Jackson improved their season record to 10-4 (8-4 in duals), while Presby and Bartoli are 8-6 (6-5) as a team in 2017-18.
Bartoli then got the Warriors off to a strong start in singles, as she completed a 6-2, 6-0 win over Kelley Hershey at the No. 5 position. Millersville, though, grabbed wins at No. 1 and No. 6 to even the match at 3-3.
McCluskey earned the fourth point for ESU after topping Victoria Hanus 6-0, 7-5 at No. 4. The Marauders leveled the score once again with a tight 6-4, 7-5 triumph at No. 2 to set the stage for Stetina at No. 3. Stetina has now won three of her last four singles matchups after today's match-clinching victory.
The Warriors have won two straight duals over Millersville after having dropped the previous five meetings in the series.
Saturday's road match at Kutztown is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. ESU topped the Golden Bears by a 7-2 final in last year's contest to book their first PSAC tournament appearance since 2011.
