LEWISBURG, Pa. – East Stroudsburg University sent several distance runners to Bucknell's Bison Outdoor Classic over the weekend, and the Warriors left the two-day event with nine new PSAC-qualifying times.

Over half of ESU's competing runners were under the conference standard, including all four men who took part in Sunday morning's 10,000m race. Senior Dan Buccino took first place in a field of 11 competitors, crossing the line in 32:20.24. He was followed by freshman Casey Ellis in third (32:27.17), junior J.P. Montgomery in fourth (32:27.79) and sophomore Jeremy Smith in sixth (32:44.09).

The Warrior men added a strong performance in the 1500m on Saturday night. Senior Zack Krieger posted a PR conference qualifying mark of 4:02.34, and sophomore Matt Lloyd booked his PSAC spot after completing the race in 4:05.55. Freshman Jordan Cruise, meanwhile, posted a season-best mark of 4:03.77 after having previously qualified for PSAC's at West Chester on March 31.

Senior Jasmine Amro, sophomore Rachael Davalos and freshman Brittany Carratura recorded new PSAC qualifiers for the ESU women. Amro completed the 5000m in a PR time of 18:31.22 to place sixth out of 61 runners. Davalos qualified in the 10,000m with a time of 39:55.58, and Carratura earned her PSAC spot in the 1500m with a mark of 4:57.94.

Senior Kaylyn West had already qualified for PSAC's in the 3000m steeplechase, but she added a new season-best time of 11:08.74 on Saturday to finish sixth out of 39 competitors. That time is less than five seconds off the DII provisional standard of 11:04.19, and it is the second-quickest registered by a PSAC runner this spring.

The Warriors can now look ahead to hosting the 13th annual All-American Invitational next Saturday. Events at Eiler-Martin Stadium get underway at 10 a.m., while the throwing competitions at the field behind Dansbury Commons begin at 9:30 a.m.
