BLOOMSBURG - Junior attack Brooke Fritz had a career-high five goals and two assists, and senior midfielder Chessie Rahmer entered ESU's top 10 in career goals as No. 18-ranked East Stroudsburg University finished its PSAC women's lacrosse regular season schedule with a dominating 17-5 win at Bloomsburg on Wednesday afternoon.

ESU (12-2, 11-1), the defending PSAC champion, will be the No. 2 seed in next week's PSAC Tournament which will be hosted by West Chester (16-0, 11-0), which secured the top seed with a 14-6 win at Millersville.

The Warriors finish the regular season on Saturday at No. 7 LIU Post (12-4), which fell 14-10 to No. 2 Lindenwood (Mo.) in a top-10 showdown.

Rahmer scored four goals, freshman midfielder Krista Mitarotonda had three goals and an assist to hit the 50-goal mark (52) for the season, junior attack TJ Jefferis had two goals and four assists, junior midfielder Emma Rufolo notched two goals and sophomore attack Cassidy McKenna also scored for ESU.

Rahmer entered ESU's career top 10 in goals, pushing her season total to 34 and career mark to 131, including 50 to earn third team All-America honors as a junior.

Bloomsburg (10-6, 6-5), fighting for one of the last three available PSAC Tournament spots in the field of six, trailed 12-4 at halftime and watched the Warriors score seven straight goals - from the 3:29 mark of the first half to the 17:35 mark of the second half - spanning intermission.

Sophomore goalkeeper Tatyana Petteway, seventh in DII in save percentage (.526), made 12 saves while allowing just five goals.

Mitarotonda's three goals - giving her 3+ goals in nine of her first 14 collegiate games - extend her season total and ESU freshman record to 52. She was third among DII freshmen in goals per game (3.77) entering the week and was named PSAC Co-Athlete of the Week on Tuesday, with six goals each in wins at Shippensburg and vs. Mercyhurst.

Fritz recorded her 100th career point, finishing the afternoon with 103 points on 57 goals and 46 assists.

She entered the afternoon with 10 goals and 24 assists this season and matched a career-high with seven points. She had four goals and an assist in the first half.

Fritz is one of three current Warriors with at least 100 points, along with Rahmer (159 - 131 goals, 28 assists) and Jefferis (124 - 74 goals, 50 assists).

The Warriors had three runs of at least four straight goals - 4-0 to open the game, five straight to go ahead 9-2 with 10 minutes left in the first half and seven straight to lead 16-4 with 17 minutes remaining.

ESU held advantages 34-25 in shots and 13-11 in draw controls, including 21-16 in shots and 11-6 in draw controls in the first half.

Freshman defender Kayleigh Pokrivka led ESU with four caused turnovers and seven ground balls after entering second in the PSAC in caused turnovers (2.85) and eighth in ground balls (3.54) per game.

The 17-goal output - ESU's seventh straight with at least 14 goals - extends the Warriors' impressive individual point totals entering the regular season finale.

Five Warriors have reached the 40-point mark - Mitarotonda (52g, 6a), sophomore midfielder Hana Cicerelle (35g, 13a), Fritz (15g, 26a), Jefferis (14g, 26a) and Rahmer (34g, 6a).

Four have at least 25 goals in Mitarotonda, Cicerelle, Rahmer and Rufolo (27g, 6a).

Earlier Wednesday, ESU remained No. 2 in this week's NCAA DII Atlantic Region rankings behind West Chester.

The Warriors are pursuing their second straight NCAA Tournament appearance after being selected for the first time last spring, finishing 17-3.
