ESU Women’s Golf Places 16th at Gannon to Begin 2018-19 Season

ERIE, Pa. – Freshman Tatum Henry carded an 86 in her collegiate debut to lead East Stroudsburg University at Gannon's Michael Corbett Fall Classic on Sunday.

The two-day tournament was shortened down to one after Monday's round was called off. The Warriors finished 16th overall in the team standings in their 2018-19 season opener.

Henry was tied for 37th out of 106 golfers in the individual standings. She was particularly effective on par-5s, ranking tied for 15th after shooting 1-over across the course's four par-5 holes.

Sophomore Micaela Crines (94) and senior Caterina Daniels (95) were the next two low scorers for ESU on the par-72 course. The Warriors shot 381 overall as a team on Sunday.

Tiffin ranked first out of 20 schools in the team standings, and the Dragons also had the top individual finisher after Alice Putoud carded a 2-over 74.

ESU remains home for its next tournament, as the Warriors host the ESU Invitational at Glen Brook Golf Club on Sunday.
