BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – East Stroudsburg University sent three players to Bloomsburg this weekend to take part in the 2018 PSAC Individual Championships.
The Warriors went 0-4 on Day 1 of the competition. Junior
Marina Zardet won the most games in singles, dropping a 6-2, 6-3 decision to No. 5-8 Lacey Cohen from Slippery Rock.
Sophomore
Quinn McCluskey was also drawn against a seeded player, as she fell to No. 5-8 Katya Minchenkova from IUP. Junior
Aubrianna Stetina was bested by Millersville's Katina Jones in the opening round.
Zardet and Stetina represented ESU in doubles, falling 8-2 to No. 2 Minchenkova and Julia Newman from IUP.
The Warriors return to Bloomsburg on Tuesday, competing in an exhibition contest against the Huskies at 5 p.m.
