ESU Women’s Track & Field Adds Two PSAC Qualifiers at John Covert Classic

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Freshman Misha Duverger set a new personal-best in the women's 60-meter hurdles with a PSAC qualifying time of 9.64 at the John Covert Classic hosted by Lehigh University on Saturday.
 
Junior Alexis Schuldes delivered a season-best toss of 37-10 1/2 in the shot put and tallied a PSAC qualifying mark in the process for the Warriors.
 
The Warriors saw senior Marissa Flim notch a first-place finish in the 60-meter dash with a time of 7.90. Freshman Taylor Allen and sophomore Nyle Hill each recorded a time of 8.28 in the event.
 
Junior Me'Saj Closs set a new personal record in the shot put with a mark of 40-11. The toss moves Closs up to fifth all-time in the event in program history. Closs also set a season-best in the weight throw with a mark of 51-1 1/2.
 
ESU would bring home a second-place finish in the 4x400 relay as junior Sarah Klag, junior Tiana Webster, junior Allyson Stitzer, and senior Victoria Collins recorded a time of 4:12.21.
 
Junior Emily Eder and freshman Kylie Stangle tallied the fastest times so far this season for the Warriors in the mile run. Eder crossed the finish line with a time of 5:42.44, while Stangle clocked a time of 5:42.58.
 
The Warriors are back in action on Feb. 2, as ESU will host its 20th Annual DeSchriver Invitational. ESU then heads to Staten Island, N.Y. on Feb. 8 for the Fast Track National Qualifier.
