Jasmine Williams recorded three solo blocks and senior
Sarah Smith tallied a match-high 13 kills as the East Stroudsburg University women's volleyball team defeated IUP 3-0 on Saturday afternoon to finish the weekend 2-0 in PSAC action.
ESU (15-4, 6-1 PSAC Central) pushed its winning streak to three matches after sweeping the Crimson Hawks 25-15, 25-17, 25-22. Smith and senior
Sam Dunphy combined to record 26.5 of the Warriors' 50 points in the match.
Smith added 16 digs to go along with her 13 kills for the Warriors, while Dunphy notched 12 kills and five digs. Redshirt senior

Caylinn Davis each recorded five kills in the match for ESU. Freshman
Rachel Cain added 36 assists, while sophomore
Emily Meredith tallied a team-high 24 digs and two service aces.
The Warriors opened the first set with consecutive kills from Dunphy to take a 4-1 advantage over IUP. That lead would later increase to 8-2 as sophomore
Jasmine Mooney tallied back-to-back kills, forcing the Crimson Hawks to call a timeout.
Williams stretched the lead to 21-11 following a kill before IUP trimmed the deficit to 21-14. The Warriors tallied back-to-back points to secure the opening set and take a 1-0 lead in the match as Smith added a pair of kills of sets from Cain to make it 25-15.
IUP took the early edge in the second set as the Crimson Hawks found themselves with a 5-2 advantage following a kill by Jessica Ignace. Trailing 8-5, Dunphy started a 4-0 rally for ESU with a kill. ESU gained a 9-8 lead before a bad set knotted the score.
That bad set would turn into a 6-0 rally for the Warriors, who took a 15-9 lead in the set. After IUP rallied to trim the deficit to 16-13, Dunphy started another run for the Warriors. ESU increased its advantage to 21-13 following a kill by Davis. Smith ended the set with consecutive kills for ESU as the Warriors tallied a 25-17 victory to go up 2-0 in the match.
In the third set, IUP held an 11-8 advantage until the Warriors went on a run to gain the lead following a 5-0 rally. Williams delivered two of her three blocks for the Warriors in the set and would swing the momentum after IUP gained a lead midway through the set. ESU clinched the set 25-22 and the match 3-0 off a kill from Davis.
The Warriors return to Koehler Fieldhouse on Oct. 15 to host Kutztown at 7 p.m. in their Think Pink match. It's the first of six consecutive matches at home for ESU, who hits the road next on Nov. 1 with a 7 p.m. match at Shepherd.
