MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – The East Stroudsburg University women's swimming team opened the 2019-20 season on Saturday at the Millersville University Relay Carnival as the Warriors placed second in the team standings and won four relay events.
The Warriors opened the event with the 300-yard backstroke relay and finished first with a time of 3:15.25, almost 10 seconds faster than Kutztown's relay team. Junior

Sarah Luigard recorded the fastest time in the 300-yard breaststroke relay as they delivered a time of 3:49.85. Millersville finished second with a time of 3:54.01.
ESU clocked a time of 1:45.82 to finish first in the 200-yard freestyle relay as Billings, Howery, senior
Olivia Lukshides, and freshman
Emily Librandi placed just ahead of Kutztown in the event.
Lukshides, Billings, Howery, and Librand won the 400-yard freestyle individual medley relay for the Warriors, finishing with a time of 3:52.92. Millersville, who finished second in the event, recorded a time of 4:03.64.
The Warriors also placed second in the 800-yard freestyle relay as Librand, Billings, Lukshides, and senior
Alexandra Ferrante clocked a time of 8:59.99 to finish ahead of Lock Haven, who recorded a time of 9:12.58.

Haley Britt finished second behind Kutztown in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:45.25. The Warriors also notched a third-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay as Howery, Harnish, Luigard, and Lukshides recorded a time of 4:26.85.
Kutztown finished first in the team standings out of four programs, tallying 108 points. The Warriors tallied 98 points to place second, while Lock Haven had 80 points (third) and Millersville 70 (fourth).
The Warriors return to the pool on Oct. 19 as ESU travels to Dallas, Pa. to participate in the Misericordia Tri-Meet beginning at 1 p.m. ESU hosts Cedar Crest on Saturday, Oct. 26 at 1 p.m. inside Koehler Fieldhouse.
