EWING, N.J. – The East Stroudsburg University women's swimming team finished fifth in the team standings at the TCNJ Invite as the Warriors capped the three-day event by adding four PSAC qualifying marks.
Senior
Taylor Howery delivered a personal-best time of 2:14.87 in the 200-yard backstroke, finishing first in the B-final for ESU. Along with her PSAC qualifying mark, Howery moved up to eighth all-time in the event on the ESU top 10 list.
The Warriors added three new PSAC qualifying marks in the 100-yard freestyle as senior
Olivia Lukshides placed sixth in the A-final with a time of 54.66.
Sophomore
Emma Billings was the top finisher in the B-final for the Warriors with a mark of 56.15. Freshman
Emily Librandi placed fourth in the B-final with a time of 56.30.
Senior
Tarah Killane improved her PSAC qualifying mark in the 1650-yard freestyle as she finished fifth in the A-final with a time of 18:32.81.
The Warriors finished fifth in the 400-yard freestyle relay as Librandi, Howery, Billings, and Lukshides clocked a time of 3:44.42.
Sophomore
Sarah Luigard was the top finisher in the B-finals of the 200-yard butterfly, recording a time of 2:22.01 for the Warriors. Junior
Julia Harnish placed third in the B-finals of the 200-yard breaststroke for ESU with a time of 2:41.59.
ESU returns to the pool on Jan. 11 as the Warriors travel to Millersville for a dual meet beginning at 1 p.m. The Warriors also have road events scheduled against Cedar Crest and Bloomsburg before hosting the ESU Invitational to close the season on Feb. 1 at 12 p.m.
