CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The East Stroudsburg University men's track and field program had four individuals across three events add PSAC qualifying marks on Saturday at the Charlotte 49er Classic.
Sophomore
Dominic Walton and junior
Noah Lockwood each added a pair of PSAC marks for the Warriors, who had 11 qualifiers on Friday at the 49er Classic.
Walton placed sixth in the shot put with a distance of 52-5 1/4, while Lockwood delivered a mark of 44-10 1/4 for ESU. Walton was an NCAA Div. II provisional qualifier in the event last year for the Warriors.
The duo also hit PSAC marks in the discus along with freshman
Daryn Blackwell. Walton tallied a fifth-place finish with a distance of 153-1, while Lockwood placed 16th with a distance of 141-7. Blackwell, who competed in his first outdoor event for ESU, hit a distance of 133.
Freshman
Justin Miller notched a fifth-place finish for the Warriors in the triple jump. His distance of 46-10 3/4 was well over the PSAC mark of 42-0.
In the 4x100 meter relay, senior
Pat Monahan, senior
Akeim Thomas, freshman
Brendan Shaffer, and freshman
Jalen Bailey ran to an 11th place finish for the Warriors with a time of 42.54. One team per school will be allowed to compete in the relay at the PSAC Championships in May.
The Warriors head to the West Chester Quad-Meet on March 30 before taking part in the Millersville Metrics on April 6.
