CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Three more members of the East Stroudsburg University women's track and field program added their names to the PSAC qualifiers list on Saturday at the Charlotte 49er Classic.
Sophomore
Gabrielle D'Amore placed ninth for the Warriors with a PSAC mark of 125-10 in the javelin. D'Amore will look to improve on her distance after hitting an NCAA Div. II provisional mark last year for ESU.
Junior
Barbara Grossov was one of two Warriors that secured PSAC marks in the shot put. Grossov's distance of 38-9 placed her 15th in the field, while junior
Me'Saj Closs placed 18th with a mark of 37-5.
ESU had a top-five finisher in the high jump as senior
Victoria Matthews placed fourth with a height of 5-0 1/4. In the triple jump, junior
Tatiana Williams just missed the PSAC mark of 35-3 1/4, jumping 35-3 for the Warriors.
In the 4x100 meter relay, senior
Marissa Flim, junior
Tiana Webster, junior
Morgan Dey, and junior
Sarah Klag ran to a 10th place finish for the Warriors with a time of 48.57. One team per school will be allowed to compete in the relay at the PSAC Championships in May.
ESU finished the two-day Charlotte 49er Classic with a total of eight PSAC marks in their first event of the outdoor season.
The Warriors head to the West Chester Quad-Meet on March 30 before taking part in the Millersville Metrics on April 6.
