MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Junior Hana Cicerelle and senior TJ Jefferis each had four goals and an assist, and No. 8 East Stroudsburg University led from start-to-finish in a 14-5 road victory at Millersville on Tuesday.

The Warriors (5-2, 2-0 PSAC) extended their winning streak to three games, and they also picked up a third-straight win over the Marauders (3-3, 1-1 PSAC).

ESU quickly jumped ahead 3-0 less than three minutes into the contest, as Jefferis picked up her first marker 39 seconds after the opening draw and senior Emma Rufolo added two goals 1:03 apart.

The advantage was up to 8-2 at halftime, and the visitors led by as many as 10 goals in the later stages of the second half.

Rufolo chipped in two goals, three assists, four caused turnovers and four ground balls in another all-around effort from the midfield. Junior Tatyana Petteway recorded six saves while playing the first 57 minutes in goal.

Jefferis now has 150 points in her ESU career, moving her into a tie with Ann Clifton (1983-86) for 14th place in program history. Cicerelle, meanwhile, has scored four or more goals in four of ESU's seven contests so far this season.

While sophomore Krista Mitarotonda (2 G, 1 A) was held under three goals for the first time in 2019, she still moved within four goals of becoming the 19th player in team history to reach 100 for her collegiate career. Cicerelle and Jefferis are right behind with 95 and 92 career goals, respectively.

Eight different players had at least one point in the victory. Sophomore Gianna LeDuc registered a pair of assists, while junior Juliane Fitzsimmons picked up her first goal of the season.

The Warriors remain on the road for their next contest, as they travel to Edinboro for an 11 a.m. PSAC matchup on Saturday.
