Kevin Costabel all placed in the top 10 of their section in the men's decathlon at the 10th annual Mondschein Multi.
Competing in the women' heptathlon for the first-time, Matthews placed ninth in her section with a total of 3,987 points. She ran a career-best time of 16.39 in the 100-meter hurdles and hit 7.83 meters in the shot put. Matthews also ran a 27.96 in the 200-meter dash and placed fourth with a mark of 5.06 meters in the long jump. She placed second in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:29.77 and hit 14.94 meters after competing in the javelin throw for the first time.
Matthews' best finish came in the high jump as her height of 1.68 meters matched a career-best and bested the NCAA Div. II Provisional mark of 1.67 meters. She also added her name to the PSAC qualifier list in the event.
Estadt paced three Warriors who competed in the "Gold" section of the men's decathlon as his 5,638 points were third-best through 10 events. The point total was a career-best for Estadt, who set several personal bests and placed in the top five across seven different events for ESU. He finished second in the pole vault with a personal-best height of 3.85 meters and third in the high jump and long jump for the Warriors.
Krzyzaniak finished seventh for the Warriors after competing in his first decathlon. He tallied 4,933 points and finished third in the 1,500-meter run (4:55.93). Krzyzaniak also-ran to a third-place finish in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 52.94. He also had a personal-best in the 100-meter dash (11.62) and competed in four different events for the first time.
Costabel placed ninth with a career-best 4,833 points in the decathlon for ESU. He notched a pair of fourth-place finishes and one fifth-place finish for the Warriors. Costabel also set a pair of personal bests in the discus throw (26.40 meters) and pole vault (3.05 meters).
The Warriors will split their time this weekend between two events across Pennsylvania, with stops in Moravian (Fri.-Sat.) and Bucknell (Sat.-Sun.).
