BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Junior
Nick Lawrence and freshman
Sean Roberts added PSAC qualifying times for the East Stroudsburg University men's track and field program on Saturday at the 2019 Coach Pollard Invitational at Moravian College. The Warriors also had several personal bests on the day.
Lawrence ran a personal-best time of 22.42 and placed eighth for ESU in the 200-meter race, while Roberts added a personal-best time of 50.49 in the 400-meter race. Sophomore
Nathan Senatore ran to an eighth-place finish in the 5,000-meter race with a personal-best time of 15:52.25.
ESU had a pair of top 10 finishes in the 110-meter hurdles as freshman
Jalen Bailey crossed the finish line in third with a time of 14.80, while senior
Mike Matrisciano placed sixth with a personal-best time of 14.99.
In field events, freshman
Carlos Pepin and junior Darnell tied for fourth-place with a mark of 6-4 3/4 in the high jump. The mark for Pepin is a new personal best in the event. Sophomore
Dan Amari matched his personal-best in the pole vault while securing first in the collegiate division with a mark of 15-5 1/2.
Junior
Jamal Cooley and freshman
Justin Miller placed second and third for the Warriors in the triple jump as Cooley's mark of 47-1 was a personal best for the Warriors. Miller had a mark of 46-8 1/4. Randall also had a season-best mark of 22-9 1/4 in the long jump as he placed seventh for ESU.
The Warriors will split their time this weekend between two events across Pennsylvania, with stops in Moravian (Fri.-Sat.) and Bucknell (Sat.-Sun.).
