EAST STROUDSBURG – Emma Rufolo scored the 100th goal of her Warrior career on Senior Day, and sophomore Gianna LeDuc added a career-high four goals in a dominant 21-3 win for No. 11 East Stroudsburg University over Gannon on Saturday.

Rufolo had five goals overall to go along with an assist and five draw controls in the victory. She is the 22nd player in program history (and the fourth this season) to reach 100 collegiate goals.

The Warriors (11-3, 8-1 PSAC) held a 14-2 lead at the intermission, and they came within 40 seconds of keeping the Golden Knights (2-10, 0-8 PSAC) off the scoreboard for the entirety of the second half.

Rufolo, Brooke Fritz, Natalie Jacobs, TJ Jefferis and student assistant Kendahl Nester were each honored in a pregame ceremony, and the offensive fireworks began shortly after the opening draw. Five different ESU players scored during a 6-0 run over the first eight minutes of the contest.

LeDuc recorded her second multiple-goal game of the season. Jefferis (2 G, 3 A) and sophomore Shannon Dent (1 G, 4 A) had five points apiece, while junior Hana Cicerelle chipped in three goals and an assist. Jefferis is up to 69 lifetime assists at ESU, moving her into sole possession of third place in program history.

Fritz and sophomore Krista Mitarotonda each finished with two goals and an assist, junior Juliane Fitzsimmons had one goal and one assist, and sophomore Gillian McEvoy tallied her first collegiate goal with 8:15 remaining in regulation.

Junior Tatyana Petteway made six saves in the opening half. Junior Michelle Dyck added three stops in the first 25:56 of the second half, while freshman McKenzie Gaghan closed out the contest in goal.

The Warriors earned a fifth-consecutive victory at Whitenight Field, and they improved to 30-3 in the regular season against PSAC opponents over the last three seasons.

ESU remains at home for its next matchup, with the Warriors hosting Shippensburg in a 4 p.m. tilt on Wednesday afternoon.

Note:

Jefferis, Mitarotonda and Petteway were each presented with ceremonial game balls prior to the opening draw to celebrate recent milestones. Jefferis and Mitarotonda scored their 100th career goals in a win over Slippery Rock on March 30, while Petteway made her 500th collegiate save in a victory at Lock Haven on April 2.
