ESU Women’s Track and Field Tallies Six First-Place Finishes at 14th Annual All-American Meet

EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women's outdoor track and field program recorded six first-place finishes on Saturday at the 14th annual All-American Meet at Eiler-Martin Stadium. The Warriors also added three PSAC qualifiers on the afternoon.
 
Junior Rachael Davalos finished fifth for the Warriors in the 1,500-meter race with a personal-best time of 4:59.65. Davalos also added her name to the PSAC list of qualifiers in the event.
 
Freshman Kylie Stangle clocked a personal-best time of 12:18.18 for ESU in the 3,000-meter steeplechase while placing fourth and adding her name to the PSAC qualifiers list. Junior Tiana Webster ran to a second-place finish in the 200-meter dash with a time of 25.52. The mark not only qualified her for the PSAC championships but was also a personal-best in the event.
 
In the 4x100 relay, the team of senior Marissa Flim, Webster, junior Morgan Dey, and freshman Taylor Allen ran to a first-place finish for ESU with a time of 48.22. Misha Duverger, Jeanette Jones, Jalen Rhodes, and Kamya Edmonds placed third and set the ESU Outdoor Freshman Record in the event with a time of 50.07.
 
The Warriors would also finish first in the 4x400 relay as junior Sarah Klag, senior Decontee Krayee, junior Allyson Stitzer, and senior Victoria Matthews recorded a season-best time of 4:01.51 for ESU.
 
Senior Aspen Gaita won the 100-meter hurdles with a time of 14.41, while junior Jenna Vledder placed third in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 19:05.55. Graduate student Samantha Young ran to a second-place finish in the 800-meter race with a time of 2:21.91, while Stitzer placed second in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:04.84. Jones ran a personal-best time of 1:06.00 in the event and placed third for ESU.
 
ESU would sweep the top-three positions in the 100-meter dash as Webster crossed the line first with a time of 12.06, while Flim finished second with a time of 12.28 and Dey in third with a time of 12.33.
 
In field events, junior Barbara Grossov finished third for the Warriors in the shot put with a mark of 39-1. Redshirt freshman Kaitlyn Swint won her first event for the Warriors with a personal-best mark of 16-9 1/4 in the long jump. Senior Carly Gregas won the high jump with a season-best mark of 5-4 1/4, while junior Tatiana Williams finished third with a mark of 5-0 1/4.
 
The Warriors travel to Philadelphia on Thursday to participate in the 125th annual Penn Relays. The three-day event is hosted by the University of Pennsylvania. ESU will also compete at the Lehigh Games and the Lock Haven Last Chance Qualifier before heading to Mansfield for the PSAC Outdoor Track and Field Championships, May 9-11.
