PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – Two years after setting a school record and winning the men's shuttle hurdles, the East Stroudsburg University men's track and field program ran to a sixth-place finish on Friday at the 125th annual Penn Relays with a time of 1:00.45.
The Warriors matched their sixth-place finish from a year ago in the event but improved their time by almost two seconds. Freshman

Daniel Daley recorded the fifth-fastest time in school history, bumping a time of 1:00.94 that was set in 1980.
Sophomore
Dominic Walton was the top Division II finisher in the shot put and placed seventh out of 51 competitors with a mark of 54-10 1/4. Walton improved on his ninth-place finish from a season ago after recording a top toss of 53-1. Preston Richardson of William & Mary won the event with a mark of 60-3.
In the women's 4x200-meter relay, the Warriors notched a 20th-place finish out of 41 teams with a time of 1:43.15. Senior

Aspen Gaita tallied the ninth-fastest time in program history as ESU ran the event for the first time this season.
The ESU men would finish 30th out of 64 teams in the 4x100-meter relay with a time of 42.36. Senior

Brendan Shaffer, and Bailey placed seventh in their heat, finishing right behind Wisconsin, who notched a time of 42.00. The Warriors, competing in the 4x200-meter relay for the first time this season, placed 27th with a time of 1:30.33.
The Warriors would run a season-best time in the 4x400-meter relay as freshman

Sean Roberts crossed the finish line in 3:17.03. ESU placed 33rd out of 61 teams and won its heat, finishing ahead of Kutztown, Bowie State, and Lehigh.
Sophomore
Dan Amari placed 12th for ESU in the pole vault with a mark of 14-5 1/4, while junior
Darnell Randall placed 26th in the long jump with a mark of 21-5 1/4. The women's javelin was cancelled due to wet conditions and inclement weather.
The remainder of the ESU track & field program is set to compete at the Lehigh Games on Saturday beginning with throwing events at 10 a.m. and the 5000-meter race at 11 a.m.
