EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University concluded its 2018-19 season with a 7-0 PSAC East defeat to Kutztown at Wolbers Courts on Saturday.
The Warriors (5-9, 1-4) finish the year in fifth place in the division standings, one spot back of the victorious Golden Bears (4-10, 2-3). ESU misses out on competing in the PSAC tournament for the first time since 2016.

Briana Young came the closest to earning a doubles victory for the home side, as they dropped a 7-5 decision at No. 3 to Jillian Siefert and Ashley Carter. Competing at No. 1 singles for a third-straight match, sophomore
Quinn McCluskey was edged 6-3, 7-5 by Kutztown's Yasmeen Malik.
Saturday was the final collegiate match for Warrior senior
Lauren Morrissey, who leaves ESU with 37 career victories. She managed 27 singles wins overall, including 16 in her final two seasons combined.
The Golden Bears earn their first win over ESU since 2013-14, snapping a string of four-consecutive defeats.
