EAST STROUDSBURG – The PSAC announced its 2019 women's lacrosse all-conference and major award winners on Thursday afternoon, with East Stroudsburg University receiving a league-high four First Team All-PSAC selections.

Junior midfielder Hana Cicerelle, sophomore attack Krista Mitarotonda, junior goalkeeper Tatyana Petteway and senior midfielder Emma Rufolo each landed on the first team, while senior midfielder TJ Jefferis received second team accolades. ESU has four first-team honorees for only the second time in program history, with the feat previously occurring in 1998.

The Warriors (13-4, 10-2 PSAC) finished second in the regular season conference standings, and they have gone 32-4 against PSAC opponents in the past three regular seasons combined. ESU will take on Mercyhurst in a conference semifinal matchup at 4 p.m. on Friday, with top-seeded West Chester serving as the host for this weekend's tournament.

Cicerelle (Broadway, N.J./Warren Hills) moves up to the first team after receiving third team recognition last spring. She has totaled 44 goals, 24 assists, 35 ground balls and 17 caused turnovers entering postseason play, ranking second on the team in all four of those categories. Cicerelle has at least one point in 16 of 17 appearances, including a pair of eight-point games. She totaled five goals and three assists at Edinboro on March 23, with the last of those goals the 100th of her Warrior career.

Mitarotonda (Rockaway, N.J./Morris Knolls), the 2018 PSAC Freshman of the Year, repeats on the first team as she continues another dominant offensive season. She ranks third in the PSAC with 73 points (57 G, 16 A), and her 57 goals are second-most in the league. Mitarotonda also leads the team and is sixth overall in the PSAC with 78 draw controls (4.59 per game). She has recorded 11 hat tricks this season, scoring five or more goals on five occasions, and she has at least one point in all 36 collegiate appearances.

Petteway (Nanuet, N.Y./Albertus Magnus) is recognized as the league's top goalie for a second time, as she was also first team All-PSAC as a freshman in 2017. She is 12-4 this season with a Division II-best .565 save percentage and an 8.52 goals-against average. Petteway has stopped 50 percent or more of opponent's shots in 15 of her 17 appearances this spring, with a season-high 18 saves in ESU's 15-14 overtime victory over then-No. 4 West Chester on March 27. She made 61 stops with a .545 save percentage in the Warriors' four games vs. nationally-ranked opposition.

Rufolo (Woodstock, Md./Chapelgate Christian Academy), the 2017 PSAC Athlete of the Year, has totaled 34 goals and 17 assists in 17 starts this season. She leads the team in ground balls (50) and caused turnovers (39) and ranks second in draw controls (67). Rufolo scored her 100th goal at ESU while totaling a career-high six points (5 G, 1 A) on her Senior Day vs. Gannon. She has recorded at least one point in 30-consecutive games dating back to last March.

Jefferis (Phoenixville, Pa./Phoenixville) receives All-PSAC accolades for a second time, as she was previously a third-team honoree in 2017. She is in the midst of a career year offensively, with 40 goals and 18 assists on the year. Her 58 points rank third on the team overall, and she scored her 100th collegiate goal during a 20-6 win over Slippery Rock on March 30. Jefferis has nine hat tricks this season, and she has contributed five or more points on six occasions.

Mitarotonda, Petteway and Rufolo become the eighth, ninth and 10th players in program history to be named first team All-PSAC twice in their collegiate careers. Petteway and Rufolo are the fifth and sixth Warriors all-time to receive at least three all-conference honors. No other PSAC school had more than two first-team selections this spring.

West Chester's Maggie Stella was honored as the PSAC Athlete of the Year, while Millersville's Grace Cobaugh (Freshman of the Year) and Seton Hill's Courtney Grove (Coach of the Year) were the other major award winners.
