POTTSTOWN, Pa. – Junior
Micaela Crines recorded a career-low round of 76 for the East Stroudsburg University women's golf team as the Warriors finished second at the Ursinus Invitational on Tuesday at Raven's Claw Golf Club in Pottstown, Pa.
The Warriors, who had four golfers place in the top 20 of the individual standings, carded a 344 (+60) to finish one stroke ahead of Alvernia. Stevenson won the tournament with a team score of 306 (+22) and had four golfers finish in the top seven of the individual standings.
Crines, who carded ESU's lowest overall score for the third-straight tournament, finished three strokes behind Stevenson's Amanda Perez for second in the individual standings.
Freshman
Mariah Minter carded her first top 10 finish for ESU after shooting an 83 on the Par-71 course. Sophomore
Shannon Campbell finished in a tie for 13th after recording a 91, while senior
Amy Bergquist shot a 94 to place 17th for ESU.
Despite finishing third in the team standings, Alvernia's Yupha Muzyka was the top individual finisher after carding a 71.
ESU heads to Kutztown, Pa. for the Kutztown Fall Invitational at Moselem Springs Golf Club on Sept. 29-30.
