Quinn McCluskey and senior
Marina Zardet won their doubles match for the East Stroudsburg University women's tennis team on Friday, but the Warriors dropped a 5-4 decision against Drew University at the Drew Tennis Complex.
ESU (0-2) saw the Rangers take a 2-1 advantage into singles competition following wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 doubles positions.

Aubrianna Stetina dropped an 8-6 decision, while senior
Ivanna Pittman and junior
Briana Young fell 8-1 at the No. 3 position.
The Warriors would be victorious in three of the six singles matches as McCluskey won 6-4, 1-6, 10-6 at the No. 2 spot for ESU. Jackson won her match at the No. 4 position (6-4, 6-3), while Pittman tallied a 6-2, 4-6, 11-9 victory at the No. 6 position.
Drew would also record three victories in the singles competition as Danielle DelRosso defeated Stetina 6-4, 6-3 at the No. 3 position, while Kate Gangi beat Young 6-3, 6-4. The match would come down to the No. 1 singles match as Ashley Carmel outlasted Zardet 6-4, 3-6, 10-8 to secure the victory for the Rangers.
The Warriors head to Scranton on Saturday for an 11 a.m. contest against the Royals. ESU will participate in the PSAC Individual Championships Oct. 5-6 at Bloomsburg.
