BLOOMSBURG, Pa. – Junior
Julia Harnish claimed victory for the East Stroudsburg University women's swimming team in the 100-yard breaststroke and recorded a PSAC qualifying mark despite the Warriors dropping a 115-78 decision against Bloomsburg on Saturday.
ESU (5-3) saw its streak of five consecutive wins come to an end as the Warriors recorded a win in the 500-yard freestyle and 200-yard freestyle relay.
The Warriors would take first and second in the 200-yard freestyle relay as the team of senior
Olivia Lukshides, sophomore
Emma Billings, junior
Taylor Howery, and freshman
Emily Librandi clocked a time of 1:44.97. ESU's "B" team, which consisted of sophomore
Sarah Luigard, freshman
Haley Britt, freshman
Erin Brandeburg, and junior
Elizabeth Young, recorded a time of 1:52.73.
Senior
Tarah Killane paced three Warriors in the 500-yard freestyle with her time of 5:42.64, while senior
Alexandra Ferrante placed second with a time of 5:54.42. Sophomore
Erynn Brady finished third for the Warriors with a time of 6:41.02.
Harnish recorded her first PSAC qualifying swim of the season for ESU as she clocked a time of 1:10.96 in the 100-yard breaststroke. Britt was second to finish in the event with a time of 1:19.15, while sophomore
Kelly O'Donnell placed third for the Warriors.
ESU tallied a second-place finish in the 1650-yard freestyle as Killane notched a time of 19:23.51. The Warriors also placed second in the 200-yard medley relay as the team of Howery, Harnish, Billings, and Lukshides clocked a time of 1:56.66.
The Warriors close the regular season on Saturday at 12 p.m. with the ESU Invitational inside Koehler Fieldhouse.
