EAST STROUDSBURG – The East Stroudsburg University women's basketball team outscored the Bloomsburg Huskies 32-21 in the second half on Wednesday night en route to a 62-57 victory in a PSAC East matchup at Koehler Fieldhouse.
ESU (10-4, 6-2 PSAC) pushed its winning streak to five games as the Warriors will have at least a share of the PSAC East division lead heading into Saturday's contest at home against Shippensburg.

Tiffany Lapotsky tallied a team-high 19 points for the Warriors as she finished 6-of-16 from the field to go along with six rebounds and three assists. Redshirt junior
Sadie Cresswell added 15 points and hit 50 percent of her shots from the field on the night. Junior
Kaitlyn Swint added 13 points to go along with a team-high seven rebounds.
Bloomsburg opened the contest by shooting 60 percent from the field in the first quarter as the Huskies connected on nine shots, while the Warriors struggled to get things going of their end of the court. ESU hit just three of its 10 shots from the field as the Warriors would trail 18-11 heading to the second quarter.
The Warriors rallied in the second quarter as Cresswell and Lapotsky helped cut into the deficit on the scoreboard. Trailing 21-13 in the quarter, Lapotsky drained a trey to trim the deficit to 21-16 with 7:50 left on the clock. Bloomsburg quickly worked the lead to nine as Bella Ricci finished a layup to make it 25-16.
Bloomsburg increased its lead to 30-21 with 4:34 left in the half before the Warriors rallied to cut the deficit. Cresswell trimmed the gap to 30-26 as she drained a trey off an assist from senior
Jordan Hertz. The Warriors pulled within two of the Huskies at the 1:02 mark as Cresswell hit a jumper to make it 32-30. Bloomsburg used a 4-0 run to take a 36-30 lead into the half.
ESU would knot the score at the 7:13 mark of the third quarter as redshirt sophomore
Julia Kutz finished a layup off an assist from Hertz. Swint would give the Warriors a 40-38 advantage with 6:15 left in the quarter following a layup. Swint ended the quarter by connecting on a pair of free throws to give ESU a 50-48 lead heading to the fourth quarter.
A jumper from Hertz with 8:05 left in the fourth quarter extended the Warriors' lead to 54-50 after the Huskies rallied to knot the score at 50-50. The teams would trade leads down to the final minute of play as Bloomsburg gained a 57-56 lead with 53 seconds on the clock. A pair of shots from Lapotsky at the charity stripe with 36 seconds left would give ESU the lead for good as the Warriors finished 6-of-6 from the line.
Despite shooting just 3-of-13 from downtown, the Warriors finished 19-of-21 at the free-throw line and forced the Huskies into 24 turnovers. The game featured 13 lead changes and 11 ties as the Warriors held the lead for just 11:01. The Warriors host Shippensburg on Saturday at 1 p.m. inside Koehler Fieldhouse in a PSAC East matchup.
