Day Two Results

YORK, Pa. – Senior Olivia Lukshides and sophomore Sarah Luigard both advanced to the finals of three different events on the second day of the 2020 PSAC Swimming Championships. The four-day meet is being held Wednesday through Saturday at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pennsylvania.
 
The Warriors moved up one spot and rank ninth out of 12 schools in the team standings with 181 points, while Kutztown is 10th with 172 points. West Chester leads the field with 843.5 points, while IUP is second with 601 points.
 
ESU recorded its best finish since 2018 in the 200-yard freestyle relay as the team of Emily Librandi, Emma Billings, Taylor Howery, and Lukshides notched a time of 1:40.25 to place seventh and earn 46 points.
 
The team of Howery, Julia Harnish, Luigard, and Lukshides delivered a ninth-place showing for the Warriors in the 400-yard medley relay with a time of 4:06.47 and tallied 40 points.
 
In the 400-yard individual medley finals, Luigard notched the fifth fastest swim as she clocked a time of 4:46.66 to finish 21st. Luigard improved on her personal best time after finishing 23rd earlier in the day to advance to the finals.
 
Luigard also qualified for the 100-yard butterfly finals after finishing 24th in the prelims with a personal-best time of 1:01.40. She would finish 24th in the finals after recording a time of 1:01.57.
 
Lukshides placed 20th in the prelims of the 200-yard freestyle to advance to the finals for the Warriors. She improved her time on the day and finished 19th after clocking a time of 1:57.94.
 
Day three will open with prelims for the 500 free, 100 back, 100 breast, and 200 fly.
 
Prelims will begin each of the four days at 10 a.m. with the finals to follow at 6 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday. The finals on Saturday are slated to begin at 5 p.m.
