Day Three Results

YORK, Pa. – Senior Tarah Killane and sophomore Sarah Luigard each recorded top 24 finishes for East Stroudsburg University on day three of the 2020 PSAC Swimming Championships. The four-day meet is being held Wednesday through Saturday at the Graham Aquatic Center in York, Pennsylvania.
 
The Warriors slipped to 10th out of 12 schools in the team standings with 189 points, while Lovk Haven is 11th with 154 points. West Chester leads the field with 1,248.5 points, while IUP is second with 862 points.
 
Killane advanced to the finals of the 500-yard freestyle after finishing 23rd in the prelims with a time of 5:22.44 for the Warriors. She would finish 24th for ESU in the finals after swimming a 5:25.97.
 
Luigard notched a 19th-place finish with a time of 2:18.15 in the prelims to advance to the finals of the 200-yard butterfly. In the finals, Luigard would improve her time and tally an 18th-place showing for the Warriors with a time of 2:17.62.
 
Junior Taylor Howery and freshman Emily Librandi both competed in the prelims of the 100-yard backstroke for the Warriors as Howery just missed advancing to the finals with a 27th-place finish. Librandi recorded finished 31st for the Warriors in the event.
 
Senior Alexandra Ferrante and junior Julia Harnish also competed in the prelims of the 500 free and 100-yard breaststroke for ESU.
 
Day four will open with prelims for the 100 free, 200 back, 200 breast, and 1650 free.
 
Prelims will begin each of the four days at 10 a.m. with the finals to follow at 6 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday. The finals on Saturday are slated to begin at 5 p.m.
