Warriors Swimming to Open Campaign at Cedar Crest

EAST STROUDSBURG -- The East Stroudsburg University swimming team returns to the pool on Sat., Oct. 23, when the Warriors head to Allentown to face Cedar Crest in a dual meet at Rodale Aquatic Center. The dual meet will commence at 1:00 p.m. 

The Warriors boasted a perfect 2-0 record during dual meets a season ago and return plenty of talented swimmers.

Graduate Student Julia Harnish and seniors Emma Billings and Sarah Luigard look to lead the Warriors. All three members qualified for the PSACs in 2019-20. 

Madison Tafe and Jenna Johnson look to build off of successful freshmen seasons last spring, while Patricia Bartosh and Erin Brandeburg bring experience as the lone junior on the roster 

New faces on the roster include freshmen Sarah Banksy, Gabby Cielsa, Avery Fohring, Nina Marchese, Ellie Parido, sophomores Naihomy Garcia, Liz Mendenhall and Veronica Ruoff. 

After facing the Falcons on Saturday, ESU will host Cal U and Kutztown for the home opener at Koehler Fieldhouse on Fri., Oct. 29 at 6:00 p.m. The three teams will then head to Kutztown the following day. 

Other home meets on the season include Lock Haven (Nov. 20) and the ESU Invitational on Feb. 5 against Kutztown and Millersville. 

The PSAC Championships begin on Feb. 16 in York at the Graham Aquatic Center.
