SHIPPENSBURG – The fourth-ranked East Stroudsburg University field hockey saw their eight-game winning streak come to end at the hands of second-ranked West Chester, 2-0, on Friday afternoon in the second PSAC semifinal at Shippensburg.
The Golden Rams (15-3) advance to play the host Shippensburg in the conference championship game on Sunday, while the Warriors (15-4) will look to receive an at-large bid to this year's NCAA Division II Field Hockey Championships. The selection show will be streamed live on NCAA.com at 3 p.m. Monday afternoon.

23:59 | After a scoreless first quarter, the Golden Rams grabbed a 1-0 lead on goal from the PSAC Freshman of the Year, Valerie van Kuijck halfway through the second period. Paige Wolfe sent in an initial blast the was redirected by van Kuijck right past Supey to score ultimately the game-winning goal for West Chester.
37:40 | Following a foul by the Warriors inside their own arc, West Chester extended their lead to 2-0 after Emma Velez converted a penalty stroke into the top left corner of the goal.

The Warriors would still appear to be in position for an at-large bid, as the Warriors entered the weekend ranked third out of five teams in the latest DII Atlantic Region rankings. Three teams from both the East and Atlantic regions advance to the tournament, with opening round tournament games set for Saturday, Nov. 13.
