ESU to Permit Spectators at Creekview Park On March 8th

The following guidelines apply to ESU baseball's and softball’s doubleheader on March 8th

3/6/2021 3:15:00 PM

EAST STROUDSBURG – East Stroudsburg University has announced the following updates to its Spectator Policy for both ESU baseball and softball teams' doubleheaders at Creekview Park on Mon., March 8th.

MARCH 8th CREEKVIEW PARK SPECTATOR POLICY (Baseball and Softball)

Due to the large amounts of snow in the outfield beyond the baseball and softball fences, where we except spectators to sit or stand for this season, at this time we will only be able to provide very limited standing-room only space for spectators in the following areas:
  • In the Creekview Park parking lot
  • Along Serfass Lane, into the parking lot
  • In the driveway from the main gate to the flagpole
We ask spectators not to go beyond the flagpole unless they are going to the restrooms. We apologize for this spectator limitation at this time but the large amount of snow beyond the fences cannot be plowed without damaging the grass. The area around the dugouts and the bleachers are reserved for student-athletes only because dugout space is diminished due to the social-distancing requirements. Thank you for your understanding.

All spectators in attendance at any home athletic event this spring are required to remain socially distanced of at least six feet apart (a family pod may sit or stand together) and wear masks at all times. Spectators are strongly encouraged not to interact with players, coaches or staff members in close contact before, during, or after the contest. No tailgating activities will be  allowed.

March 8th will serve as opening day for both ESU baseball and softball's 2021 season. Baseball will battle Chestnut Hill at noon in a seven-inning doubleheader, while softball will take on St. Thomas Aquinas at 1:00 p.m. in a doubleheader.

Fans are encouraged to take advantage of free, live streaming and live statistical coverage of every home baseball and softball game. Links to watch and any updates on events and broadcasts will be made available on esuwarriors.com and @ESUWarriors social media.
