SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. – Senior
Casey Ellis earned a first place finish in the 5K at the Shippensburg Invitational to lead the East Stroudsburg men's cross country team on Saturday afternoon.
The Rome, Pennsylvania native finished the 5K grass course in 16:06.2, beating out Shippensburg's second place finisher, Chayce Macknair, by 2.4 seconds.
Senior
Teddy Mostellar earned a fifth place finish after clocking a time of 16:47.8 and junior
Koodsha Manjaro was 20th with a time of 19:19.7.
Host Shippensburg won the event with a score of 17, while Kutztown earned runner-up honors with a score of 43.
The Warriors compete again in two weeks from today when they head to Lock Haven for the PSAC Championship.
