EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – The second-ranked East Stroudsburg University field hockey team returned to Whitenight Field for the first time in 678 days on Tuesday and picked up their first win of the season by defeating Molloy, 4-1.
The Warriors (1-2) held a 2-0 lead at halftime after goals from junior Madison Kline and senior Becca Heffner in the second quarter. ESU continued their offensive pressure after the break as Kline scored her second goal of the game and senior Morgan Mesenbrink found the back of the net to lift the Warriors to victory.

25:33 | After a scoreless first quarter in which ESU forced Molloy to make four saves, the Warriors snapped their nine quarter scoreless drought when Kline put a shot past the goalie after being set up on a pass from Hannah Barbush, who picked up her first assist of the season.
27:33 | Exactly two minutes later, Heffner extended the Warriors lead to 2-0 after she followed up on a rebound from an initial shot by Lia Parker that was saved.
36:01 |Just a little over six minutes into the second half, Kline found the back of the net for the second time of game as after she crammed in a pass right in front of the goalkeeper from Hanna Lewis, who recorded her first of her junior campaign.
44:32 | Molloy would not go quietly as they cut ESU's lead to 3-1 on their only shot of the game late in the third period. Kassandra Sakhat dished a perfect pass off the penalty corner to Kyra Dalli, who delivered a strike past Supey for the Lions first goal of the season.
47:34 |The Warriors put the game outreach late in the fourth quarter on a goal from Mesenbrink with just over two minutes to play. With a number of players in front of the of the net, freshman Giulia Van der Werff dished a pass to Mesenbrink's stick before she tapped shot past Ally Saigh, who finished the game with 27 saves.
