MANHEIM, Pa. -- After a win over nationally-ranked Anya Knappenberger on Sunday at Gannon in her collegiate debut, the National Wrestling Coaches Association (NWCA) announced on Thursday that East Stroudsburg University's Mia Macaluso is nationally-ranked at 130 at No. 7.
Macaluso (1-0) made her highly-anticipated collegiate debut against the Golden Knights. The USA Junior National Champion defeated No. 9 Knappenberger, 14-12 in her Warrior debut.
In the NCAA Women's Coaches Team Tournament Rankings, ESU is receiving votes (4).
ESU announced on earlier today that the team is not competing in the Dragon Duals this weekend in Tiffin, Ohio due to COVID-19 health and safety concerns.
The Warriors are slated to return to the mat on Thurs., Feb. 3 against Elmira in the Empire State.
