How It Happened
- The teams traded buckets to begin as the Warriors jumped out to a slight lead at 8-7 just over four minutes into the game. From the 5:29 mark on, ESU was held scoreless, and the Marauders converted a pair of layups to make the score 12-7 headed into the second.
- The second quarter opened in similar fashion as the ESU edged Millersville 6-5 to cut their deficit to 17-13 going into the media timeout. Out of the break, the Marauders barely outscored the Warriors the rest of the way to take a 22-17 advantage at the break.
- After an easy layup by Adams to start the second half, neither team was able to score again until a three-pointer by Millersville at the 5:03 mark to make the score 25-19. Pishock answered the very next possession with an elbow jumper, but the Marauders used an 11-3 run from that point to lead 36-24 with 10 minutes to go.
- It was back and forth to start off the fourth quarter as a Weise three-pointer got the Warriors to within nine points at 40-31. However, the Marauders answered with a 6-0 spurt over the next two minutes to regain a 46-31 lead with 4:02 to go. Sabato would go to score the next seven points for ESU to make the tally 46-38, but clutch free-throws down the stretched iced the game for Millersville.
