MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – In its 2022-23 season opening meet, the East Stroudsburg University swimming team fell to Millersville, 175-78, on Saturday afternoon at Anttonen Natatorium
In their collegiate debuts, Vera Renshof (50-yd freestyle, 100-yd freestyle) and Kennedy Leveto (100-yd breastroke) each posted PSAC qualifying times. Renshof, a native of the Netherlands, broke the Anttonen Natatorium 11-year old record in the 100-yd freestyle.

Notables
- In the first event, ESU took second and fifth in the 200-yd medley relay. The team of Jenna Johnson, Leveto, Avery Fohring and Renshof clocked a time of 1:55.20 for four team points.
- Up next was the 1000-yd freestyle, as the Warriors took second through fifth, matching Millersvile's nine points in the event. Freshman Samantha Grayauskie led the Warriors with a time of 11:55.37, just a hair faster than Madison Tafe's time of 11:55.71.
- The Marauders took the top-three spots in the 200-yd freestyle to snag 16 of 19 points in the third event. Naihomy Garcia's time of 2:09.81 was the top time for ESU.
- In the 100-yd backstroke, Johnson took second (1:06.65), edging her opponent by a 10th of a second to avoid the third-place finish.
- Leveto's PSAC time in the 100-yd breaststroke (1:09.96) came next, besting the second-place Marauder swimmer by nearly three seconds. The victory added nine points to the Warriors' score.
- Fohring took fourth in the 200-yd butterfly for the Warriors, adding two points with a time of 2:27.57.
- Renshof won the 50-yd freestyle (24.80) and booked her ticket to York in the process with an impressive first individual event. She also neared an NCAA 'B' time in the event, needing a 23.93.
- Renshof hopped right back in the pool and won the 100-yd freestyle (53.61), setting a new pool record, which was set by Millersville's Sarah Bernhardt on Feb. 5, 2011. The freshman also neared an NCAA 'B' time in her second individual event, needing a time of 52.11.
- Tafe led ESU in the 500-yd freestyle with a time if 5:50.75, which added five points to ESU's score.
- In the final individual event, Leveto paced the Warriors with a second place finish in the 200-yd individual medley (2:18.50), just missing the time of 2:18.26 to qualify for the PSAC Championships.
- In the final relay event, ESU's Renshof, Garcia, Johnson and Leveto took second in the 200-yd freestyle with a mark of 1:43.09.
