EAST STROUDSBURG – Goals from Caitlin Norwood and Natalie Schooley and a shutout from goalkeeper Emmy Clarkson sparked the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over Shippensburg on Wednesday evening inside Eiler-Matin Stadium.
The Warriors (9-4-2, 7-4-2 PSAC East) lengthen its fourth-place edge over the Raiders (5-6-4, 4-5-4) for the final spot in the PSAC Tournament with just three games remaining.

- ESU now has 23 points on the season, just a point out of third place Kutztown. With just three regular season games remaining, the Warriors need just one win the rest of the way to clinch a postseason berth into the conference tournament.
- The opening goal for Norwood was the first of her Warrior career. Schooley's insurance goal was her fourth this season and seventh as a Warrior.
- ESU GK Emmy Clarkson registered five saves for her fourth shutout of her freshman campaign. Raiders' GK Morgan Molyneaux made six saves in the loss.
- ESU held a 21-10 advantage on shots, 8-5 edge on shots on goal and 5-3 lead in corner kicks.
- Both squads were issued a yellow card, with SU's Olivia Stephen being booked in the first minute, while ESU's Teagan Marshall was charged with a yellow during the 90th minute of play.
How It Happened
- 31' | Norwood accepted a long-through pass from Mirthe Bos. After handling possession and makinga move, Norwood sent a long shot at a bad angle that somehow curved and found the back of the net.
- 60' | Delaney found Schooley with an impressive through pass, just avoiding an offsides call. She settled possession and as the goalkeeper approached, she flicked a high-shot over the keeper. A Shippensburg defender attempted to the clear the ball, but was a tad too late.
