CALIFORNIA (Pa.) – Led by another PSAC qualifying time for freshman Kennedy Leveto and pair of wins from Vera Renshof, the East Stroudsburg University swimming team closed day two of the California (Pa.) Tri-Meet on Saturday afternoon inside Hammer Hall.

The Warriors fell to both Kutztown (122-81) and California Pa. (113-90) on Saturday.

Notables

• Kennedy Leveto won the 200-yd breaststroke, clocking a PSAC qualifying mark of 2:35.36. The freshman from Herndon, Va. has now posted conference qualifying times in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 free, 100 breast and now 200 breast. Leveto neared another PSAC qualifying time in the 200-yd individual medley, recording a time of 2:18.91, for a second-place finish.
• Vera Renshof picked up a pair of victories in the 50-yd (25.12) and 100-yd freestyle (54.24).
• Avery Fohring took second place in the 200-yd butterfly, totaling a time of 2:26.16.
• The Warriors closed the meet with the 200-yd freestyle relay and took second place. Jenna Johnson, Madison Tafe, Kennedy Leveto and Vera Renshof compiled a time of 1:43.59, less than a second behind the first place finishers.

How It Happened

• ESU opened the second day of the tri-meet wit the 400-yd medley relay. The Warrior relay team of Samantha Grayauskie, Erin Brandeburg, Ellie Parido and Nina Marchese totaled a tiem of 4:42.00 for fifth place.
• In the 1650-yd freestyle, Madison Tafe clocked a time of 19:48.46 to finish in third place in the event.
• Mia Estep paced ESU in the 200-yd freestyle, grabbing fourth place with a time of 2:10.91.
• Jenna Johnson took third place in the 200-yd backstroke, with a time of 2:30.69.
• Samantha Grayauskie led the Warriors in the 500-yd freestyle with a time of 5:46.88 for fifth place.
