Competing in an 8k, the men’s team gets the championships underway at 11:30 a.m. followed by the women’s 6k race at 12:45 p.m.

The top 15 runners in each race will receive First Team All-PSAC honors, while the 16th-30th place finishers will be honored with Second Team All-PSAC recognition.

The men’s team started off the 2022 season in impressive fashion, claiming first place at the Adelphi Panthers XC Invite. The Warriors had five of the top 11 finishers in the race to capture the program's first top-finish since October 12, 2019. ESU also placed 11th out of 36 teams at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational and 7th of 14 squads in their final tune up at Lock Haven’s Go Fast River Run.

The Warriors has been paced at their four events this season by graduate student Luke Valdevit, sophomore Brian McGarrity and freshman Landon Boyle.

The women’s squad top finish this season came at the Adelphi Panthers XC Invite when ESU took 4th out of 14 teams in their season-opening event.

The Warriors top finisher at all five of their events this season has been freshman Kelly Martin or Megan Elgrim.

At last year’s PSAC Championships, the men’s team finished 12th and return their best runner in Valdevit, who took 11th place to capture First Team All-PSAC honors for the first time in his career. On the women’s side, the ESU was 15th and sophomore Alycia Smith is back as the Warriors top finisher from a year ago.
