The top three finishing teams at the Atlantic Regional will advance to the NCAA DII Championships, which will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 in University Place, Washington.
The men’s squad is looking to build off a ninth place finish at the PSAC Championships as the Warriors were led by graduate student Luke Valedvit, who earned Second Team All-PSAC honors after coming in 26th.
Freshman Landon Boyle (37th) and sophomore Brian McGarrity (41st) also recorded solid finishes for ESU while senior Camden Shaffer, sophomore Evan Wooby as well as freshmen Andrew Dowdell and Justin Walters will also represent the Warriors at the championships.
The women’s team is coming an 18th place at the conference championships where freshman Kelly Martin notched ESU’s best finish in 103rd. Also set to compete for the Warriors are senior Samantha Brawner, sophomores Alycia Smith and Jada Williams as well as freshman Megan Elgrim.
National Qualifying Team/Individual Selections
- The top 3 men's and women's teams will automatically advance to the championship finals
- The top two individuals who are not part of a qualifying team will automatically advance to the championship finals
- All individuals who finish in the top-5 at the meet and are not part of a qualifying team will advance to the championship finals
- Ten at large teams will be selected by the NCAA DII Men's and Women's Cross Country Committee using selection criteria
- 8 Individuals will be selected at-large
