SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – In its second dual match in two days, the No. 14 East Stroudsburg University women's wrestling team picked up its first win of the season with a dominant 31-12 victory over Western New England on Thursday afternoon at the Anthony S. Caprio Alumni Healthful Living Center.

The Warriors (1-1) even their record as they enter the ESU Open this weekend. The Golden Bears (0-1) fall in their first dual match in program history.

• The Warriors took victories in seven of the nine matches, with a double forfeit at 109.
• Recording pins for the Warriors were Waverly KaneLong, Sofia Macaluso, Carmela Cancelmo, Mia Macaluso and Shola Cascen. The pins for KaneLong and Sofia Macaluso were their first in their Warrior careers.
• Haley Delia recorded a 22-16 decision win in the first match for ESU.
• Zoe Gress also picked up a decision win (11-8) to improve to 2-0 as a Warrior.
