MANSFIELD – The East Stroudsburg University men's cross country team notched a ninth place finish at the 2022 PSAC Championships on Saturday from the Lamb's Creek Cross Country Course.
Competing in the 8k, the Warriors highest finisher was Luke Valdevit as the graduate student took 26th with a time of 26:08.8 to earn Second Team All-PSAC honors. Valdevit is now a two-time all-conference performer after earning First Team accolades in 2021.
Freshman Landon Boyle was impressive in his PSAC debut, taking 37th after crossing the line in 26:42.8, while sophomore Brian McGarrity was not far behind in 41st with a time of 26:50.6.
Sophomores Evan Wooby and Camden Shaffer nearly crossed the line at the same time as Wooby was 76th (27:43.8), followed by Shaffer in 77th (27:44.3).
Finishing off the race for the Warriors was a trio of freshman in Andrew Dowdell (117th – 29:42.6), Justin Walters (128th – 30:38.8) and Caleb Peters (131st – 31:11.8).
