Warriors Swimming Improves to 4-2 with 123-78 Victory over Lock Haven

EAST STROUDSBURG – In its final home meet of the calendar year, the East Stroudsburg University swimming team improved to 4-2 after taking down Lock Haven, 123-78, on Saturday afternoon at Koehler Fieldhouse.

ESU (4-2) has now won 10 consecutive dual meets against the Bald Eagles (2-2) dating back to 2012.

The Warriors earned first place in seven of the 11 events against LHU.

PSAC Qualifying Times Warrior First-Place Finishers How It Happened
  • The Warriors opened the meet with 15 points, placing first and second in the 400-yard medley relay. The crew of Jenna Johnson, Kennedy Leveto, Emily Gambler and Madison Tafe combined for the top time of 4:27.95.
  • Helia Wang picked up ESU's first individual first-place win in the 1000-yard freestyle, compiling a time of 11:40.06.
  • Samantha Grayauskie led ESU with a second-place finish in the 200-yard freestyle (2:10.88), while Mia Estep (2:10.88) and Alyssa Brown (2:12.06) followed right behind.
  • Anique Hazebroek posted a season-best time in the 50-yard freestyle, with a PSAC qualifying mark of 25:39. Gabby Ciesla earned third place in the event for the Warriors (27.84).
  • Avery Fohring took third of four competitors in the 400-yd individual medley, with a time of 5:08.71
  • Vera Renshof picked up a win in the 100-yard butterfly next, tallying a time of 1:03.94.
  • Hazebroek recorded her fifth PSAC qualifying mark of the season in the 100-yd butterfly, besting the competition with a time of 54.99. Leveto followed with a time of 57.76.
  • Jenna Johnson (1:04.67) and Samantha Grayauskie (1:06.01) took second and third place, respectively in the 100-yard backstroke.
  • Madison Tafe picked up the sixth win for the Warriors in the 500-yard freestyle, totaling a time of 5:46.36. Emily Gambler took runner-up, clocking a time of 5:49.47.
  • Renshof led ESU with a third-place finish in the final individual race, the 100-yd breaststroke (1:14.99).
  • The Warriors closed the meet strong in the 200-yd freestyle relay, with the crew of Jenna Johnson, Kennedy Leveto, Anique Hazebroek and Vera Renshof combining for a time of 1:45.99.
