LOCK HAVEN – For the third time overall and first time this season, East Stroudsburg University volleyball setter Taylor Haan was selected as the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference East Defensive Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Haan, who totaled her third PSAC weekly award this year (Athlete of the Week – September 11 & September 18), continued to impact the court in numerous different areas for ESU as the junior totaled a pair of double doubles while averaging 1.00 kills, 9.29 assists, 2.86 digs, 0.86 aces and 0.71 blocks per set in a 1-1 weekend for the Warriors.

On Friday at Shippensburg, Haan finished with 25 assists, 11 digs, three blocks, three aces and a pair of kills. She returned on Saturday with 40 assists, 16 digs, five kills, three aces and a pair of blocks in a four-set victory at Shepherd.

Among PSAC rankings, Haan leads the league in aces (0.62) and is fourth in assists per set (9.76). 

Haan recorded the eighth weekly honor for ESU, which is the second-most in a single season, as Makayla Baca (Defensive Athlete of the Week – Sept. 11, Oct. 16) and Anna Coulter (Athlete of the Week – Oct. 23, 30 & Nov. 6) were both previously honored.
