EAST STROUDSBURG – College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday afternoon that six members of the East Stroudsburg University women's soccer team were named to the Academic All-District Team. ESU honorees include:
Mia Chapman,
Emmy Clarkson,
Rebecca Kotula,
Caitlin Norwood,
Natalie Schooley and
Millie Smith.
To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, maintain a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.50, and compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or must start in at least 66 percent of contests.
Chapman made appearances in 18 of 19 contests for the Warriors this season, including three starts. The sophomore currently holds a 4.0 grade-point average as a criminal justice major.
Clarkson was a brick wall this season for ESU, posting nine shutouts while recording a .842 goals-against average and a .784 save percentage during her sophomore season. She was named the PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week four times this season and seven times over her first two seasons. She holds a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a marine science major.
Kotula, a 2022 College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Second Team selection was ESU's lone All-PSAC East First Team honoree this season. The Wyomissing native recorded four goals and an assist for nine points. Her goals came when it mattered, with three of her four goals being game-winners. She earned her bachelor's degree with a 4.0 GPA as a political science and philosophy major this past Spring. Kotula also holds a 4.0 GPA while pursuing a master's degree in management and leadership in organizational behavior.
Norwood earned her first-ever College Sports Communicators Academic All-District selection and also was named to the All-PSAC East Second Team for the first time in her career in 2023. She started in all 19 games, helping ESU to concede just 16 goals in total. The junior has made 50 starts in 53 appearances, totaling two goals and an assist at defender. The native of Collegeville, Pa. holds a 3.68 grade-point average as a nursing major.

Schooley is named to the CSC Academic All-District Team for the second consecutive year, after earning the honor in 2022. She was named to the All-PSAC East Second Team this season after leading the Warriors with 21 points on nine goals and three assists. She posted at least a point in 10 of 19 games this season. A nursing major, Schooley holds a grade-point average of 3.74.
Smith, who also earned All-PSAC East Second Team accolades this season, posted five goals and two assists for 12 points. She ranked second in both goals and points, totaling one point in at least seven games. The product of Middletown, Md. holds a 3.93 grade-point average as a criminal justice major.
Academic All-District® honorees are considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.
