EAST STROUDSBURG – Facing future national power No. 8 Iowa in the program's first-ever competition, the Hawkeyes defeated the No. 7 East Stroudsburg University women's wrestling team, 43-1, on Saturday afternoon inside Koehler Fieldhouse.
The Warriors drop to 1-1 on the season after taking down Elmira last Wednesday. The Hawkeyes (1-0) pick up a victory in the program's first dual match.
Iowa earned victories in all 10 matches, totaling three falls and seven tech falls. The Warriors picked up a point at 136, with
Zoe Gress falling 12-2 via a tech fall.
